We recommend making sure you have eaten and are hydrated before your appointment. Please be mindful of the placement of the treatment and dress accordingly. Avoid heavy drinking before (including the night before) your appointment as alcohol thins the blood and can increase bleeding for up to 24 hours and can lower pain tolerance and reduce your body’s ability to heal well the next day. Thinned blood can also dilute our pigments, affecting both the appearance of your tattoo. Please let us know if you plan on using numbing cream for your appointment! Always remember to stay calm, you’re in good hands! For full information read our complete guide on How to Prepare for a Tattoo Session

It is common practice in the industry to not show clients designs until the day of the appointment and this is what you can expect with us. There are many reasons for this but mainly it is to protect the integrity of our work and prevent stealing. This is rarely an issue as with references and discussion the artist will understand what you’re looking for. Small changes to the design can happen on the day.

If this is a problem for you, you may want to consider getting a pre-drawn design. The artist has lots of pre-drawn designs available. In order to see these you will need to come into the studio as we do not send these via email.

Yes, but not every tattoo can be covered/re-worked. You will need to have a consultation with the artist to discuss your options. You should be flexible and willing to consider laser removal as cover ups are always a compromise.

We have space in the waiting area at the studio for one friend/family member to wait. Please be aware they may not be able to sit right next to you for the duration of the appointment.

Customers must be aged 18 years old or over before they can be tattooed. All customers will be asked to prove their age with a driving licence or passport if it is believed they are under the legal age.

Yes! But in the best possible way. Your brain releases endorphins when you go through pain and your body loves endorphins, so yes, it hurts, but you’ll kinda like it.

Every shop has their own recommended aftercare instructions. For more information read our tattoo aftercare instructions.

Healing usually takes 7 to 14 days, depending on the size of the tattoo, but it takes 3 to 4 months for the skin to fully regenerate. For more information read our tattoo aftercare instructions.

We advise you to stay away from any harsh sunlight including sunbathing or sunbeds/solariums after getting tattooed. As well as no massages, saunas, steam rooms, hot tubs, swimming in pools or the sea. So please leave it at least a month after getting tattooed before you enjoy any summer holidays.

Definitely not! We do NOT discriminate or judge your ideas; each client is different and we respect all reasons for wanting each individual tattoo. To give you the best tattoo possible, the artist will help to direct you towards the best design and placement for your idea, using their experience and knowledge. We are the professionals, but it’s your body so we will always take your ideas on board and make sure you are happy with the design before tattooing it.

Generally, we can tattoo over scarred or damaged skin, as long as it has healed fully. Please seek advice from your doctor or GP if you have severe scarring. It’s always a good idea to come in and show us in person, but a photograph over email could also help us advise you.

Yes – all skin colours or tones can be tattooed.

If you had your tattoo done with us and think you need a touch up, then please send us an image of your healed tattoo so that we can advise you. Most touch ups are free if you return to the original artist with a few months.

We recommend talking to your artist beforehand about using numbing cream, as some artists are not comfortable with it. This is because it can make the skin more difficult to tattoo and can sometimes affect how it heals. There is often a greater level of pain experienced once the cream has worn off too, and some creams don’t last as long as your tattoo session. If your artist is comfortable with you using a numbing cream, then they will recommend which creams are suitable and will also explain how to apply them.
